Arthur Lambi, Jr., CPA, MST

Art is the Founder of Arthur Lambi & Associates, a local public accounting firm located in Cumberland, Rhode Island.  The Firm, which was established in 1992, has been consistently recognized as a “Top 20” CPA Firm by the “Providence Business News”.  Prior to founding his own firm, Art was employed by the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young, as well as the large local accounting firm of Piccerelli, Gilstein & Company.  He has consistently appeared at local forums, and on television and radio shows, as an expert business and tax consultant, and has also written technical articles for local newspapers and magazines. 

Art is the Immediate Past President of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He has been an active member of the Society for the last twenty years, serving as Past Chair of the Small Firms Committee, and more recently as an active member of the Cooperation with Education Committee and the Scholarship Committee.  Art is also an active member of the profession’s national organization, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  As a tireless advocate for the accounting profession and Rhode Island’s family-owned businesses, Art was recognized by the Small Business Administration and over 1,100 business leaders and politicians as the “Rhode Island Accountant of the Year 2000”.   

Art obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Rhode Island College, where he has been an Adjunct Professor in Accounting and Taxation for over a decade.  In 1997, he was recognized by the College as the “Accounting Alumni of the Year”.  Art is also a graduate of Bryant University, where he received his Master of Science Degree in Taxation.  He was later asked by the University to assist with the development of the Individual Income Tax Section of the Certificate Program in Personal Financial Planning, a course he was also asked to proctor at the University.

In addition to his professional activities, Art has been involved in numerous charitable and civic organizations.  More recently, Art coached his local Pop Warner Football Team to State and Regional Championships and participates weekly as a percussionist with the Music Ministry of his parish, St. John Vianney Church.  Art is married to his “High School Sweetheart” Susan, and enjoys any activity that involves his two daughters, Jessica, age 19 and Nicole, age 15.
